Learn how to
meditate, gain information about what to ask when you go for genetic
testing, or meet a new
friend who's been through what you're going
through at one of our free workshops in our Windsor Terrace/
Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Community Center. Workshop topics change all the
time and are run by
volunteers. These workshops are open to anyone who's
been touched by Ovarian Cancer whether it be a
family member or friend. We also invite the general public to learn more
about Ovarian Cancer at some of our educational events. Please RSVP for our upcoming workshops
Definition of a T.E.A.L.® Ovarian Cancer Survivor: is
an “Amazing Lady” who at any time in her life has been diagnosed with
Ovarian Cancer whether she is currently a patient in treatment or cancer
free. It could have been yesterday or 50 years ago. We honor these
“Amazing Ladies” in a variety of events and programs including
invitations to participate in our T.E.A.L.® Survivor Ceremony during our
Annual T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run program in cities across the US. We offer
free programs and services for survivors and their families all year

T.E.A.L.® has now made attending a workshop globally accessible. If you are unable to attend a workshop
at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center, you can still participate online through workshop webinars from the
comfort of your home. If you are interested in joining a workshop through a webinar please e-mail
and mention "webinar" so that we send you the webinar invitation. T.E.A.L.® is also
offering a new phone in option and video conferences. Let us know what works for you!

Has someone close to you been affected by Ovarian Cancer? Do you find
it difficult to relate and/or talk about? Attendees join our men of
T.E.A.L.® meet up and have casual discussion of how Ovarian Cancer has
impacted our lives. This workshop provides a support network of people
who can relate to your situation. Attendees can enjoy snacks,
discussion, and socializing. If you are interested please fill out THIS FORM. You can still be part
of Men of T.E.A.L.® if

caring for yourself. Join us in our newest support group to talk with
others who understand what you are going through. Share your coping

Fitness Class & Wellness Workshop with F.I.T 4 All

This two part workshop can be modified for ALL ages and abilities - no experience required. The workshop will begin with an upbeat meaningful movement experience, engaging your full-body in a fun and empowering “dance on the mat.” The second part of the workshop will involve a discussion on Stress Management and Affordable Self-Care. Together we will answer the question, “What is stress?” and discuss the negative and positive aspects to stress. Attendees will discuss how to identify their individual stress triggers and form action plans based on simple, personally accessible ways to manage stress. Fertility and Family Planning Considerations in Those with Genetic Ovarian Cancer Risks

A webinar presented by Dr. Matthew Lederman of RMA of NY. Women with hereditary cancer risks may present with ovarian and other cancer types at an early age. Various medical interventions to reduce cancer risk often elicit fertility and family-planning concerns among young mutation carriers. This presentation will explore fertility preservation (egg or embryo freezing) prior to surgery as well as Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), a test which allows for embryos to be tested for known cancer-causing mutations. A Workshop for Deep Self Care
Join Jane, a licensed physical therapist, and learn how to take care of your health and yourself through a novel integrative approach enhancing the mind/body/spirit connection. This workshop will draw on various methods to reach the deepest part of self and the body’s own innate ability to heal. Guided meditations, gentle movement, qigong, self-massage techniques, acupressure points, and energy healing methods will be used. Attendees will learn how to generate and direct healing energy to specific areas of the body and how to replicate the experience at home.
